FIELD: weapons and ammunition.

SUBSTANCE: inventive projectile relates to a multi-purpose high-explosive ammunition producing a fragment beam in both the axial and the lateral directions. The projectile comprises a one-piece casing with a nose portion and an explosive charge having a fragmentation block disposed in front of said explosive charge, a detonator disposed in the middle portion of said explosive charge, and a time/contact nose fuze being electrically connected with said detonator. The nose portion of the casing has a conical or ogival shape. The fragmentation block embraces the nose portion of the casing outside, and the detonator is fitted with a safety device and an adjustable delay mechanism.

EFFECT: enhancement of the destructive capability of the projectile during its penetration into obstacles and the safety of its use.
