FIELD: medicine; orthopaedics.
SUBSTANCE: to provide forecast of unfavourable idiopathic scoliosis course, blood serum is tested for number of sulphated glycosaminoglycan and activity of lysosomal enzymes - cathepsin D and α- galactosidase. In case number of sulphated GAG is reduced in 1.5 times and more, cathepsin D activity is increased in 1.5-2 times, and α- galactosidase activity is increased in 10 times relative to norm, possibility of progressing idiopathic scoliosis is diagnosed.
EFFECT: possibility to diagnose progressing idiopathic scoliosis before clinical development.
