FIELD: medicine; traumatology.
SUBSTANCE: first sphenometatarsal joint is subjected to surgical ankylosis by closed manual foot reposition and screw-fixation of first sphenometatarsal bones in functionally favourable position. Screw-fixation is carried out through cutaneous incision on internal metatarsal bone surface in direction of sphenometatarsal joint.
EFFECT: method allows performing of surgical ankylosis at minimum tissue traumatisation and preventing platypodia relapse.
