FIELD: textile; paper.
SUBSTANCE: absorbent article consists of a material with basic layer of generally fluid-permeable material, and at least two elastomeric strips or areas attached to the basic layer at some distance from each other, so that the central part of the basic layer is bordered from at least two sides by composite areas of elastomeric and basic layer materials. The central part of the basic layer stays generally non-elastic, while the composite areas are extendable in at least one direction due to tension and contraction of the basic layer before attaching of elastomeric materials. The resulting material in the form of a pad can be inserted into absorbent article on the part of a body.
EFFECT: improved absorption.
