FIELD: mechanics.
SUBSTANCE: folding and unfolding in a tower crane with a folded post and arm are performed with drives or lifts. As the sequence of operations for folding and unfolding is chosen with a switch and a controller, the lifts are put in operation in sequence accordingly to a preset sequence of automatic actions (L1, L2, L3, L4) corresponding to a chosen actions order. Following the actions order is controlled with a set of sensors which register intermediate or final positions of post components and/or components of the arm of the tower crane.
EFFECT: allows automatic transforming of a tower crane from a folded transport state to unfolded operating state and vice versa.
