FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the processing the bauxites by leaching, usually by Bayer's method. According to this method, the crushed bauxite is entered immediately into the alkaline solution received beforehand and designed for repeated input into the Bayer's aluminum solution circuit. At that, the said alkaline solution is brought to such a temperature that the temperature of the suspension obtained as a result of interaction of the said crushed bauxite and alkaline solution is more than the temperature close to that of boiling at the atmospheric pressure, i.e. more than 95°C and preferably more or equal to boiling temperature at the atmospheric pressure.
EFFECT: filterability of after-filtration residue is improved.
