PROCESS OF OIL FIELD DEVELOPMENT CONTROL Russian patent published in 2008 - IPC E21B43/16

Abstract RU 2328592 C2

FIELD: mining.

SUBSTANCE: process involves oil recovery from production wells, water injection into injection wells, sustaining bottom hole pressure above oil saturation pressure for production wells, and below hydraulic fracture pressure for injection wells. Geological and technological field model is used in fluid recovery yield run equal at all production wells, from some minimum yield with constant fluid growth rate to the oil saturation pressure at the production well pit-face. When pressure at a production well pit-face reaches the oil saturation pressure value, its yield is registered and is not changed in the further run. Next, at every run stage water volume sufficient to sustaining strata pressure across the whole target is considered equal to the recovered fluid volume. Water is distributed through the injection wells proportionally to the well injectability. At each stage of fluid yield run for production wells well interference areas are determined for each development target of given oil field. Oil yield of each well is calculated in time till 100% waterflooding of wells and thus the best possible oil recovery rate, that implements optimal yield distribution among injection and production wells for the analysis date.

EFFECT: higher efficiency of reserves recovery due to increase of oil production along with cost minimisation.
