FIELD: measuring techniques.
SUBSTANCE: device for measuring speed of sound in heterogeneous media consists of receiving-transmitting acoustic transducer 1, pulse generator 3, receiving amplifier 4, analogue to digital converter 5, microprocessor unit 6 and a data output unit 7. The result is attained through use of a single probing acoustic pulse.
EFFECT: increase in functional capabilities device allows for obtaining values of the speed of sound in each of the homogenous media, making up the test heterogeneous medium.
