FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: rotary motion is sent to billet. Tool is brought and pressed to billet surface. Ultrasonic vibrations that are modulated by amplitude are sent to the tool, and it is directed along processed surface for creation of regular microrelief in the form of grooves that make grid with the following parameters: t - axial pitch of grooves, micrometer, l - circular pitch of grooves, micrometer; χ - angle of microrelief grid, degrees. At that tool delivery along processed surface is executed by means of its displacement for distance S, mm, for one rotation of billet. Invention description contains mathematic formula for calculation of mentioned distance S.

EFFECT: even retention of lubricant on processed surface of part and stabilisation of parameters of part surface layer quality and it operational properties.
