FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: deforming tool feed motion is executed in direction that is perpendicular to longitudinal axis of rotated billet and its alternate motion is carried out. Deforming tool applied is arranged in the form of deforming elements that embrace spherical surface of billet - turns of double-coiled spring turns. Double-coiled spring is made with internal working deforming turns and external support turns, by means of which it is fixed in the casing. Internal diameter of internal working deforming turns is less than the diameter of processed spherical surface of ball stud for the value of double tension. Casing is made in the form of bushing with longitudinal slot for free passage of ball stud billet part that is adjacent with its spherical surface.
EFFECT: technological resources are expanded; efficiency is increased as well as quality and accuracy of processing.
