FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: offered group of inventions relates to the ceramic composite based on sialon, and method for producing articles from it, which can be used in the manufacture of construction materials, parts for machine construction, metal-cutting tool, tool for working metal by pressure and slide bearings and so forth. Ceramic composite based on sialon is produced from a dry mix, which contains the following components, mass %: silicon dioxide (SiO2) 81.4-91.7; aluminium powder (Al) 3-5; magnesium (Mg) 0.1-0.5; calcium (Ca); 0.01-0.1; sodium (Na) 0.001-0.01; nitrogen (N2) 5-10; plasticiser (polycarbosilane) 0.1-3. Silicon dioxide is first crushed; the preparation of the mixture is accomplished by mixing aluminium powder, magnesium, calcium, sodium, plasticiser and crushed silicon dioxide in the presence of ionised nitrogen. Then the hydrostatic formation of a semi-finished article with its subsequent multistage heat treatment is produced.
EFFECT: reduction in the manufacturing time of the article, increasing its physical and mechanical characteristics.
