SUBSTANCE: invention relates to oil production industry and is intended for increasing or restoration of the output of wells by treatment of the face zone with application of equipment, which contains a compound that generate gas in the process of combustion. According to the method proposed for treatment of the face zone a unit suspended to a wireline is lowered into the face; the unit comprises an air chamber adjacent to a receiving chamber, in which a gas generating compound is placed; during thermal destruction the compound emits hydrochloric acid. Process exposure is provided for deeper reaction of hydrochloric acid with rock. After the preset delay air chamber is opened by operation of the inflammable diaphragm with the igniter placed on the chamber bottom and pollutants are carried out of the face zone of the formation. Mix of ammonium nitrate of brand "Б" and hexachlorobenzene is used as a compound that generates gas in the process of combustion with emission of hydrochloric acid in the following ratio, mass%: ammonium nitrate of brand "Б 34-35", hexachlorobenzene 65-66.

EFFECT: increase of efficiency of treatment of the face zone of the formation and elimination of fire hazard by implementation of the technique of preparation and application of the gas generating compound.
