FIELD: meteorology.
SUBSTANCE: device for cooling surface sea water in heavy weather comprises a vertical pipe, to the lower end of which a rope connected with the anchor interacting with the sea bottom is fastened. The special feature of the device is that both the pipe ends are closed with caps that pass water upward only; a float is secured to the upper end of the pipe and a weight is fastened to the lower pipe end.
EFFECT: application of great number of similar devices makes it possible to substantially reduce the temperature of surface sea water, which will reduce the probability of arising typhoons and hence - to avoid drastic destructions and a lot of human deaths.
