FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: method of lowering temperature of ocean surface water in an area of possible occurrence of a typhoon involves monitoring temperature of ocean surface water in an area of possible occurrence of a typhoon, for example by analysing infrared radiation from the surface of the ocean. The novelty of the method is that temperature data are compared with critical temperature and, if approaching to the latter, chalk is sprayed in the top layers of the atmosphere using a rocket or aeroplane in form of powdered substance which reduces amount of solar radiation in the area of possible occurrence of a typhoon in order to lower the temperature of the ocean surface water.
EFFECT: prevention of a typhoon.
