FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: temperature measurements are taken in symmetric points of leg back for patient being laid or standing with surface infrared detector and internal microwave detector. Diagnosis is specified with the following criteria: average infra-red temperature of leg is higher than that of healthy person and is independent of body position; axial gradient of infra-red temperatures from the highest temperature of upper one-third of leg to the lowest temperature of lower one-third of leg is absent; there is medial-lateral gradient of infra-red temperatures of upper one-third of leg if patient is being laid and of the whole leg if patient is standing, and the highest temperature pointed within medial leg; average internal temperature is considerably exceeds normal value, internal temperatures of lower one-third of leg exceed normal values by 1.4°C-1.6°C; against high internal temperatures there is axial gradient of internal temperatures detected if patient is being laid or standing; medial-lateral gradient is detected only within upper one-third of leg and only if patient is being laid; while standing internal temperature of upper one-third of leg is reliably increased in comparison with position of being laid.
EFFECT: method provides increased sensitivity and specificity of thermometric diagnostics of acute venous thrombosis of inferior limb.
