METHOD OF CHRONIC VENOUS INSUFFICIENCY VERIFICATION BASED ON MATHEMATICAL IDENTIFICATION OF ABNORMAL SIGNS OF TEMPERATURE DISTRIBUTION IN LOWER EXTREMITIES BY DATA OF COMBINED THERMOMETRY Russian patent published in 2013 - IPC A61B5/01

Abstract RU 2500343 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to surgery and functional diagnostics, and can be applied for diagnostics of chronic venous insufficiency of veins in lower extremities (CVI). For this purpose infrared (IR) temperature and deep microwave temperature (RTM) of skin are measured in 12 symmetric points, located on posterior surface of right and left shins. After that, presence of asymmetries of temperature fields of both shins of examined person is determined, for which purpose the following parameters are calculated by specific mathematical formulas: absolute lateral-medial gradient, temperature field oscillation, difference of temperatures in point (1) and between average temperature in points (10), (11) and (12). After that, obtained values are compared with specified ranges of said parameters. If deviation of at least one of values of calculated parameters from said ranges is determined, chronic venous insufficiency of lower extremities is diagnosed. In case if no deviations are determined, distance between temperature fields of examined person's shins (R) is determined by specific mathematical formula. After that, obtained values are compared with normal value of said parameter. In case if R is greater than 45.35, chronic venous insufficiency of lower extremities is diagnosed.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to diagnose CVI at early stages of its development, which in its turn ensures timely prophylaxis of said disease complications.
