FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used when erecting buildings and other structures. The building block consists of not more than two vertical carrier plates made from reinforced concrete, bound to neighbouring plates with a gap not larger than the thickness of the plates. The vertical carrier plates are bound using stiff bars, made with provision for compression and expansion. Between at least two of the said plates, there is a heat insulating layer. The stiff bars do not cross through the plates of the block. The horizontal faces of the plates are made with a cut, in the form of an isosceles trapezium, the axes of symmetry of which coincide with the vertical axis of symmetry of the plate, while the bigger part of the base is at the same level as the butt-end of the plate. The total length of the remaining parts of the horizontal face of the plate is equal to the length of the bottom of the cut. The faces of the blocks have projections and depressions, made with provision for their coincidence when stacked.
EFFECT: increased strength of the building block and improvement of its heat insulation properties.
