SUBSTANCE: invention refers to nuclear power engineering and can be utilised in nuclear and thermonuclear power facilities. The blanket cell contains a deflector of neutrons and elements installed into a metal case and fabricated out of a hard, lithium containing composition for which lithium deuteride 6LiD is used. Due to increased reproduction constant of energy the invention results in a considerable economy of a nuclear fuel in nuclear reactors without reduction of heat carrier temperature, and the invention also facilitates utilisation of the existent sources of thermonuclear neutrons as industrial-scale plants for production of thermonuclear power.
EFFECT: achieving the possibility to economise nuclear fuel in nuclear reactors without reduction of heat carrier temperature and utilising the existent sources of thermonuclear neutrons as industrial scale plants for production of thermonuclear power.
