FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in analytical chemistry, in particular for ecological monitoring of water bodies on the content of arsenium, which is a common toxic contaminant of natural water. The method involves separating arsenium as its volatile hydride with subsequent absorption of the hydride in a solution of photometric reagent. The photometric reagent used is a solution of 2(n-nitrophenyl)-3,5-diphenyltetrazolium chloride in a mixture of solvents. A coloured solution is obtained. The content of arsenium in the sample is determined on the intensity of the colour with automation of all stages of cyclic injection analysis.
EFFECT: express analysis and safety; increased sensitivity and possibility of continuous control of the content of the analyte in natural waters at the level of maximum permissible concentration.
