FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: speed, flight-path speed and angle attitude of an aircraft are measured in flight. During post-flight processing of onboard measurement data the speed measurement reliability is defined. If reliability is positive the wind velocity is defined. Rated wind velocity is defined by its values at a given time or distance interval preceding the rate moment. To calculate the aircraft velocity components on the basis of flight-path speed and rated wind velocity the said given time or space interval includes also the next time or space interval after the rate moment. Rated wind velocity is calculated by regression for each rate moment.

EFFECT: improved precision of aircraft velocity components in all flight modes at random possible attack and grazing angles.
