FIELD: measuring techniques.
SUBSTANCE: present invention allows for using local angle of attack sensors to determine angle of attack and/or angle of slide. Two values of local angles of attack are measured, and the aerodynamic angle of an aircraft is determined from those values, using a calibrating curve. The calibrating curve is obtained from probing and calibrating flight modes. In a given mode the aircraft is diverted at the aerodynamic angle and its local angle of attack, ground speed and attitude are measured. To eliminate systematic errors in the calibrating modes, pitching, banking or yawing control organs are deviated. The deviations are measured and taken into account when determining the calibrating curve. When determining the aerodynamic angle, the deviations of control organs are measured and taken into account.
EFFECT: wider functional capabilities.
