FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: in compliance with the invention the product is subjected to the magnetic field effect from inside the large-side product by moving the magnetising belt made up of, at least, two wedge-like permanent magnet unlike poles. The aforesaid poles magnetise the product to ensure an opposed magnetisation which allows the subsequent self-demagnetisation due to a high demagnetisation factor of the magnetised band and low coercive force of the soft-magnetic material. The soft-magnetic pipeline demagnetisation incorporates a soft-magnetic casing with its surface accommodating, at least, one magnetisation belt made up of regularly arranged wedge-like permanent-magnet poles facing the pipeline inner surface. The brushes made from the soft-magnetic reinforced cables are attached to the poles outer surface.
EFFECT: shorter demagnetisation without affecting welding quality at hard-to-reach points.
