FIELD: medicine; otolaryngology.
SUBSTANCE: method involves fixation of tympanum flap in the tympanum otosalpinx opening by an autocartilage strip. Ultrathin 0.2-0.3 mm thick rectangular cartilage is applied by rolling it in a tube form and fixing its ends with a 'lock'. Slits are made in direction of each other at the edges of two parallel sides to the middle of cartilage strip and superimposed to form two flaps. The slits are correlated, the autocartilage tube obtained is directed to the tympanum otosalpinx opening under the tympanum flap and fixed by the two flaps made previously.
EFFECT: reliable fixation of tympanic flap over the tympanic otosalpinx opening without interference with ventilation and drainage functions of otosalpinx, and prevention of impaction.
