FIELD: metrology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to device measuring levels of liquids in various tanks and can be used in remote control systems intended for controlling water filtration, pressure in no-pressure piestic wells, water levels in hydroelectric station dam water level instruments. The invention novelty consists in that the device incorporates additionally a casing pipe-type electrode housing a coaxial cable with metal braiding, a central core and an insulating sheath. The cable outer sheath is furnished with insulating washers arranged all along its length. A heating high-frequency generator is connected in between the cable metal braiding and additional electrode. The device to measure capacity represents a switcher, its first input being connected to the cable central core and the second input connected to metal braiding. The switcher output is connected to the high-frequency oscillation measuring active oscillator. The switcher control output is connected to the pulse generator. Intermittent connection of the cable metal braiding or its sheath to the said measuring active oscillator allows conversion of the measured submerged cable end capacity and that between the central core and sheath containing the data on ambient temperature into the active oscillator frequency, that are translated into water level allowing for temperature compensation in the solver.
EFFECT: elimination of measuring errors, higher accuracy of measurement in varying ambient parameters conditions.
