FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in navigation signal receivers GLONASS, GPS and GALILEO, in particular, for frequency search of navigation signals. Method consists in that coherent integration is performed within time interval τcoh for each quadrature followed with calculation of received signal envelope, while correlation signals I and Q providing time delay are developed within time interval equal to τcoh/2. Two pairs of quadrature signals I1 Q1 and I2 Q2 are produced through time interval τcoh to generate three resultant pairs of signals I0 Q0, I+, Q+ and L- Q-, the first pair being generated as a sum of signals I1, I2 and Q1, Q2, the second and third pairs being generated as a sum of I1, Q1 and results of signal I2, Q2 turned to angle ±ϕ. For each resultant pair of quadrature signals envelope values Z0, Z+ and Z- are calculated to select maximum value which is, in fact output signal within analysed time-and-frequency search position.
EFFECT: reduced time of signal search due to extension of separate channel band to increase frequency search step at fixed time value of integration in quadrature correlator.
