FIELD: medicine; ophthalmology.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for determination of intraocular lens position (IOL). The meridian scanning within the interval of 5-15 circular degrees and 35 MHz frequency is conducted to determine the position of the IOL's direct axis according to position of scanning plane wherein supporting elements are located as far as possible from each other. The collocations of eye optical axis and parallel line passing through the centre of IOL is estimated; and the collocation of frontal plane passing through the ciliary sulcular and the horizontal plane of the IOL's optical element is determined.
EFFECT: increase in diagnostic informativity of the ultrasound biomicroscopy.
