FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, specifically to ophthalmology. To fix the intraocular lens (IOL) in the absence or insufficiency of the capsular support, the haptic elements are fixed to the iris through small incisions. For this purpose, the thread is fixed to the haptic elements as close as possible to the optical part of the lens, tying the thread with a track of five consecutive knots. Iris is stitched at a distance of 2/3 width thereof away the pupillary sphincter in three successive movements with a distance between 0.5 mm punctures from the inside to the outside, from the outside to the inside, leading the resulting loop through the paracentesis and back. End of the thread is connected to the loop with three knots, then the opposite haptic element is also fixed.
EFFECT: method allows to reliably fix and center the IOL, prevents postoperative deformation of the pupil and the rise in intraocular pressure, allows you to achieve good anatomical and functional results.
