FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention may be used for preparation of deformed half-finished products from aluminium, steel, titanium, copper and other metals with ultra fine-grained structure and high level of mechanical properties applicable to shipbuilding, machine building, aircraft and other industries. Device contains matrix with three crossing channels - receiving, intermediate and outlet ones, and additional fourth channel, which follows the outlet one. The latter is arranged in the form of calibrating belt, the axis of which is parallel to the axis of receiving channel. Axes of receiving and outlet channels and axes of receiving and intermediate channels are installed at certain angles, and length of intermediate channel has certain value. Area of cross section of calibrating belt is less than cross section area of receiving channel.
EFFECT: provides assured high mechanical properties of massive billets; billet metal use coefficient increases and device metal intensity and process labour intensiveness are reduced.
