FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: system for pipe molding includes double-stage cooling insert. The first cooling stage is controlled, removing heat from pipe wall, in order to partially harden plastic without its excess cooling. Partially cooled plastic pipe then arrives to second stage, where lower accuracy is required in pipe cooling, because partially hardened plastic is less vulnerable to damages. The first and second stages contain separate temperature detectors and controlling devices, which are intended for changing of cooling medium parameters in every stage. Cooling medium passes through the first stage at such temperature and with such flow rate, so that temperature of the first stage is maintained in narrow temperature range close to temperature of cooling medium. Staged cooling insert provides better control at initial system start-up and in case of operating conditions change.
EFFECT: stabilisation of pipe shape inside of moving molding tunnel.
