FIELD: chemistry, metal melting.

SUBSTANCE: invention concerns metallurgy, particularly electric melting equipment for melting a blend including ferric and non-ferric metals. The electric melting device includes two independent induction systems made of units with similar designs consisting of induction modules, clamps, control units of power feed of induction modules with different current frequency, and an additional insert. Each induction module has a magnetic conductor assembled of electrotechnical steel sheets, with an indent for magnetic flow conduction to the active furnace zone, and with a magnet frame for placement of module coils which are connected to the coils of other modules by a given pattern of connection of all windings to the power network. The additional insert can be connected to the magnetic conductor frame of an induction module in the other unit positioned nearby, its form depending on the mutual position of neighbour units.

EFFECT: augmentation of melting with metal bath rotation and liquid phase recovery of blend components; functioning of intermediary scoop of horizontal continuous casting machine.
