FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention is used for remote detection of methane gas accumulation. Mobile device for remote detection of methane gas accumulation contains transmitter provided with light source for light generating, its wavelengths matching with methane spectral signal, and designed to direct generated light to measurement area, detector of reflected light and signal processor. Light source radiates light with wavelength at wich methane absorbs, the wavelengths being within the range 3200 to 3300 nm. Light source comprises optical parametric generator actuated by signal injection and connected to exciting laser.

EFFECT: high sensitivity of measurements.
