SECTIONAL ANNULAR DRILL Russian patent published in 2008 - IPC B23B51/04

Abstract RU 2333818 C1

FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: drill is intended for metals processing by cutting and contains hollow casing with cutting part and tailpiece. Cutting part has cutting teeth and grooves for outlet of chips, which proceed to grooves for chips removal from hollow casing. In order to increase processing efficiency by means of cutting part teeth number increase, it is equipped with elastic planks with angular slots connected to hollow casing, and cutting part is arranged in the form of ring that has flat end and embracing cylindrical basic surfaces for interaction during connection with hollow casing with corresponding flat end and embracing cylindrical basic surfaces, which are arranged on the hollow casing. At that on external side surface of cutting part teeth angular bulges are arranged that partially protrude above its flat end basic surface and intended for jamming during connection of cutting part with hollow casing in angular slots of mentioned elastic planks. At that embracing cylindrical basic surface of cutting part is installed in parts of angular bulges that are located above its flat end basic surface.

EFFECT: increase of processing efficiency.
