FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: double-stage gas turbine engine incorporates the first and second stages, and outer and inner shafts, a fan, a compressor, at least, one turbine wheel, a combustion chamber arranged between the compressor and turbine, an air intake and a jet nozzle. The fan is fitted onto the inner shaft. The compressor is fitted on the outer shaft. The turbine wheel is fitted on the outer shaft. The Stirling engine is arranged behind the turbine and linked to the inner shaft. The said Stirling engine is made up of two groups of cylinders, i.e. working and piston cylinders, the working cylinders being arranged in the first stage and expansion cylinders being fitted in the second stage.
EFFECT: higher efficiency and reliability.
