FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: turboprop gas turbine engine with nuclear power plant includes propeller, air intake, combustion chamber, high pressure turbine, Stirling engine installed after high pressure turbine and jet nozzle. Engine is made as per three-shaft scheme and consists of outer, intermediate and inner shafts. Compressor consists of low and high pressure sections. Low pressure turbine is installed after Stirling engine; rotor of the above turbine is connected to inner shaft through reduction gear or multiplier to the propeller. Stirling engine is connected through intermediate shaft to rotor of low pressure compressor. High pressure turbine rotor is connected through outer shaft to rotor of high pressure compressor.
EFFECT: higher engine acceleration and reliability.
