FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method allows for determining response time of human visual system by presenting sequences of paired light pulses of set duration separated by inter-pulse interval repeated in constant time interval. With duration of light pulses equalling 50 msec, duration of inter-pulse interval between light pulses in pair is reduced, until tested person determines moment of subjective fusion of two light pulses in pair into one. Duration of inter-pulse interval between light pulses in pair in this moment is taken for its first threshold value tthr1. Further on, with duration of light pulses being 200msec, duration of inter-pulse interval between light pulses in pair is reduced, until tested person determines moment of subjective fusion of two light pulses in pair in one. Duration of inter-pulse interval between light pulses in pair at this moment of time is taken for its second threshold value tthr2. Response time is taken equal to sum of duration of threshold inter-pulse interval tthr1 with duration 50 msec and duration of threshold inter-pulse interval tthr2 with duration 200 msec.
EFFECT: increased accuracy of determining time of recovery of human visual system.
