FIELD: medicine, traumatology.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used when treating serious deforming arthrosis accompanied by disturbance of blood supply and deformation of ankle region, when performing double-joint arthrosis of ankle and subtalar joints. Method includes external-lateral access with osteotomy of external ankle-bone and dissection of cartilages of affected joints. Oblique osteotomy of external ankle-bone is performed 1-2 cm higher than joint fissure. Soft tissues are cut in its anterior part. Ankle-bone is tuned towards outside preserving connection with soft tissues. Cartilage removal from joint surfaces of arthrodesised joints is performed. External ankle-bone is displaced with covering arthrodesised region of ankle and subtalar joints to full contact with shin-bone, astragaloid bone and calcaneum. Preserving connection with fibular bone, bulb-tipped pins are passed through external ankle-, shin- and astragaloid bones. Apparatus of external fixation is applied, in which lateral and longitudinal compression is realised, limb axis is restored.
EFFECT: method prevents inefficiency of arthrodesis.
