FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relaters to field of medicine, namely to traumatology and orthopedics. Osteotomy of fibula is performed in frontal plane. Line of fibula osteotomy is started from anterior surface of fibula below attachment of anterior tibiofibular ligament. Then osteotomy line goes from front to back from the bottom up between anterior and posterior tibiofibular ligaments. Osteotomy ends above attachment of posterior tibiofibular ligament. Anterior talofibular ligament is dissected. Distal fragment of fibula together with posterior tibial-fibular ligament are rotated outwards. Joint-forming surfaces of tibia and talus are determined visually with their further resection. Cartilage is ablated from joint surface of fibula, from joint surface of internal ankle and talus unit. After that, distal metaepiphysis of tibia is adapted with unit of talus and temporarily fixed to each other by means of two wires. Fragments of fibula are accurately matched to each other and fixed with tightening screw and plate with angle stability. First screws in plane are passed through distal part of fibula and talus unit. After that, screws in plate are passed through fibula and distal metaepiphysis of tibia.

EFFECT: method ensures wide field of vision of joint surfaces of injured ankle joint, minimal trauma of periarticular soft tissues and vascular-nervous formations, stable fixation of mating fragments.
