FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to devices of melt metal level measurement and may be used in systems of technological processes control in metallurgy industry, for instance, in devices of magnesium-thermal titanium reduction. Device contains phase meter, excitation windings and level detectors, which are installed pairwise around reservoir with melt metal. Number of excitation windings pairs and detectors is selected as equal to 3N, where N is equal to any number from positive whole numbers. Excitation windings are connected to source of three-phase supply. At that detectors are connected with windings of summing transformer, the output winding of which is connected with phase meter. In circuit of detectors balancing resistances are installed, and device is equipped with current transformer, the primary winding of which is serially connected into circuit of one of excitation windings, and secondary winding is connected with phase meter. Besides, summing transformer is equipped with supply circuit frequency filter, and as excitation windings heater windings may be used.
EFFECT: increase of accuracy of melt metal level detection.
