FIELD: arc welding of metals by melting electrodes, in particular, power source of arc welding, possible use for welding metal structures and products of various thickness in various industrial branches.
SUBSTANCE: power source has transformer with three-rod magnetic duct 1, two primary windings, positioned on edge rods, one of which is connected directly to powering network, and second one, bridged by resistor 18, is connected to powering network through two-semi-period key on thyristors 5 and 6, and positioned on all rods primary winding, connected to load, and control block 17. Introduced into source are capacitors 15 and 16, impulse transformer 14 and oppositely-parallel connected thyristors 9 and 10 with cutting diodes 11 and 12, connected to powering network. Capacitors 15 and 16 are connected between common points of connection of thyristors 9 and 10 to diodes 11 and 12 and primary winding of impulse transformer 14, connected to output of second primary winding. Secondary windings of transformers are connected in parallel, while controlling inputs of thyristors are connected to control block 17.
EFFECT: increased excitation and arc burning reliability, decreased dimension power of welding device due to decreased flow of active materials.
