FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering and can be used to improve voltage and current curve shape in single- and three-phase four-wire circuits. The harmonics compensator incorporates a capacitor and an inductance representing an electromagnetic transformer with an enclosed-ring magnetic circuit, the transformer primary being a single-phase circuit wire and its secondary being connected in parallel to the capacitor. The transformer primary can also be composed of a neutral main of the four-wire three-phase circuit. Note also that the electromagnetic harmonics compensator transformer can incorporate several secondaries with capacitors connected thereto. The said transformer magnetic circuit can be constructed in two mechanically connected semi-rings.

EFFECT: higher reliability and improved voltage and current curve shape.
