SUBSTANCE: in the static compensator, the controlled inductor is a double-winding transformer with a magnetic conductor saturation controller, wherein the nominal input resistance of the transformer is 1.5-6 times greater than the sum of inductive resistances of its windings reduced to the nominal voltage; a device for filtering higher harmonics is in form of a filtering-compensating device, the nominal power of which ranges from 0.1 to 0.5 of the nominal power of a capacitor bank, and the sum of nominal power values of the filtering-compensating device and the capacitor bank is equal to the nominal power of the transformer.
EFFECT: high efficiency and reliability.
