FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering and can be used to reduce losses of electric power in elements of three-phase four-wire network due to current limitation in neutral working wire. Device for limiting the current in the neutral wire of a three-phase four-wire network, comprising a winding on a closed magnetic circuit, connected at the beginning of the network, three windings on magnetic conductors connected near non-linear loads, between linear and neutral conductors, wherein three windings are placed on separate closed magnetic conductors and, forming a "star with zero" connection, are primary, and their secondary windings are connected to each other according to the "delta" scheme, to control the operation of the device, two synchronized timers and two contactors are additionally introduced, first of which by its power breaking contact is connected in parallel to winding on closed magnetic conductor, connected longitudinally to neutral wire of network, three closing contacts of the second contactor are connected between linear wires of the network and three primary windings on magnetic conductors forming a "star with zero" connection, besides, each of the contactors is controlled by its own timer connected to phase voltage of the network.
EFFECT: reduction of power losses due to efficiency of current limitation in the neutral working wire of the three-phase four-wire electric network and in the device elements themselves.
