FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of sowing small-seeded crops with small seeding rates, in particular to methods of sowing amaranth. Prior to sowing the amaranth seeds are covered with a coating. The seed coating is composed of mixture of filling material with addition of finely dispersed seed embryos of spring soft wheat of Spektr grade with the ratio of 5:1 and herbicide 2-4D in relation of 0.00001% to the weight of the mixture with filling material and finely dispersed seed embryos. Coating diameter amounts to 5±1 mm. This allows reducing expenditures of amaranth seeds for sowing and increasing crop yield of amaranth seeds and herbage. Filling material comprises flour paste with zeolite-containing clay and effective microorganisms.

EFFECT: reduced expenditures of amaranth seeds for sowing and increasing crop yield of amaranth seeds and herbage.
