FIELD: transportation.

SUBSTANCE: device for deactivating terrorists in civil airplanes is located in cabin-mounted armchairs forming bounded by their sides passage to flight deck. Airplane cabin is provided with general view video camera. Each pair of opposite arm chair sides located on different sides of passage is furnished with spring clamps made in the form of inactivated into hard rubber aluminum arc-shaped plates attached to sides by fixed in squeezed state coil springs, and with photoelectron sensors. Spring retainers are connected with movable cores of electric solenoids located under respective armchair. Excitation windings of electric solenoids are electrically connected to photoelectron sensor circuit, and clamp plates are connected with electric signal sources using corresponding to given pair of armchairs switches and buttons for turning on manual-automatic modes on the console in flight deck.

EFFECT: increase of civil aircraft flights safety.
