FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention claims a method of obtaining low-molecular N-polyvinylpyrrolidone by polimerisation of water N-vinylpyrrolidone solution in the presence of 30% hydrogen peroxide solution and 25% ammonia solution in isothermal mode at 70-75°C. The mix of N-vinylpyrrolidone, hydrogen peroxide and ammonium solutions are gradually fed to water heated to 75°C for less than 30 minutes. The claimed method allows obtaining low-molecular N-polyvinylpyrrolidone at conversion rate of 85%.
EFFECT: reduced quantity of byproducts.
