SUBSTANCE: method of multisubstrate testing of natural microbic communities for definition of a habitat type, degree and type of negative influence of adverse factors on soil habitats and estimations of quality of soils is offered. The method provides sampling, obtaining of suspension of a soil microbic complex (injection of suspension into cells of the test tablet containing a set of test substrates, mineral medium and the indicator of substrate consumption. The subsequent incubation of the test of tablets in the thermostatic chamber before occurrence of colouring of the indicator, photometric registration of colouring intensity of substrates with the help a flatbed photometer is performed. Further carry out the mathematical analysis of the received spectra of substrate consumption. The invention can be used in a bionomics.

EFFECT: method is cheap and allows quickly obtain the information on the ecological status of an investigated habitat.
