FIELD: biotechnology.

SUBSTANCE: invention represents a method of cultivating a soil microbial community, characterized by the following sequence of actions: solid oligotrophic nutrient medium with low concentration of carbon sources is sterilized in an autoclave to remove all foreign microorganisms, then continuing to heat in an autoclave and when the medium reaches temperature of 50–60°C, an antimycotic is aseptically introduced into it in amount of 1 ml/l of the medium, which is 4% solution of amphotericin in dimethyl sulphoxide, or 3% solution of fluconazole in dimethyl sulphoxide. After adding the antimycotic, the nutrient medium is poured into sterile Petri dishes and dried until the surface of the medium is completely dry, then the surface of the solid nutrient medium is contaminated with an aliquot of the soil material dilution in water at ratio of 1:10,000 and uniformly distributed over the surface until the aliquot is completely absorbed into the thickness of the medium. After infection, the Petri dishes with the nutrient medium are placed in an anaerobic box and incubation of soil microbial community is carried out in gas mixture at content of 5% of CO2 in atmospheric air for at least 10 days. Solid nutrient medium R2A with gellan gum thickener is used.

EFFECT: invention enables to increase the cultivated variety of a wide range of representatives of typical soil microorganisms capable of growing on solid nutrient media, due to approximation of cultivation conditions to real conditions in soils.
