FIELD: ecology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ecology and environmental protection and can be used to control natural processes in environmentally sensitive areas of water areas using biological indicators. System for integral assessment of quality of medium and marine biota based on complex studies of state of local biocoenosis of stationary biostations consists of elements for analysing the spectrum of methodological components: hydrobiological component, physiological component, toxicological component. At that, for monitoring and integral assessment of marine environment state stationary biota of industrial ecological monitoring is represented by artificial biotopes or artificial reefs for complex analysis of condition of biological communities formed on artificially created substrates of bio-stations of industrial environmental monitoring. According to their condition, environmental quality is assessed, gradient changes of ecological situation in areas of industrial load are identified with description of criteria for interpretation of monitoring data and basic system of statistical estimates, wherein within the framework of industrial environmental monitoring to cover all areas of the object of study, to obtain objective, reliable and scientifically based material, a number of biostations is required depending on the volume of the monitoring object.

EFFECT: complex integrated assessment of marine environment quality is provided based on the results of detailed analysis of marine biota.
