FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: proposed device consists of tight cylindrical hollow steel housing, two support pulling elastic cups, magnetiser consisting of constant magnets installed on edges of magnetically soft bars with a cavity in their body, which is made in the half of the bar along its long axis; magnetically soft steel rods inserted in the cavity and fixed with the other end on annular frame in the centre of which the nut of converter of rotational movement to translational movement is fixed, and screw of converter of rotational movement to translational movement is screwed into the nut, one of the ends of which is connected to output shaft of reduction gear of revolutions, the input shaft of which is connected to shaft of electric motor the control windings of which are connected to outputs of the motor control unit the input of which is connected to the output of the comparing device, to one end of which there supplied is signal from the assignment device and the other input is connected to output of the device for shaping an average signal, to each of many inputs of which there supplied are signals from magnetic field sensors arranged in inter-pole space of magnetic system. Outputs of magnetic field sensors, path sensors and sensors of turning angle of flaw detector around longitudinal axis are connected to the appropriate inputs of the onboard data recorder.
EFFECT: reducing power consumption of flaw detector at maintaining the constant value of intensity of magnetic field in the wall of the investigated pipeline irrespective of changes of its thickness.
