FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: straw pick-up chopper is aggregated with tractor and contains frame with consequently mounted pick-up attachment, feeder, shear unit with motionless knifes and shredding drum. There is a distributing deflector hood with reflective guard and bunker with fertilizer dispenser behind the shredding drum. The feeder contains mounted one after another transport and compacting rollers. The shredding drum has plates with knives. The blades for creation of turbulent stream are fixed on edges of the plates. The knives and blades are deflected against the plates radially aside opposite to direction of rotation of drum. The knives of shear unit are executed in convex curvilinear form.

EFFECT: provision of straw inclined cutting and decrease of cutting process power consumption.
